Foreign Service Information Management Technical Specialists - Unified Communications Now Accepting Applications     The U.S. Department of State is currently accepting applications for Foreign Service Information Management Technical Specialists - Unified Communications (IMTS-UC). Foreign Service IMTS-UCs install, repair, and maintain telecommunications and telephone systems. They provide oversight for various hardware procurement, logistics, and maintenance programs. Working with U.S. diplomats and foreign nationals in host countries, they support diplomacy through information technology management and maintenance. These professionals serve at regional locations worldwide and travel to U.S. Embassies within and outside their base location to support embassy operations. Our professionals are responsible for ensuring the safety and integrity of all information by protecting classified material, providing ongoing technical support, and optimizing systems and network operations.
