- Yesterday, the Virginia Department of Health (VDH) announced the death of a child in the Northern Region who had COVID-19. According to the VDH, the child was between 0 and 9 years old. The department won't disclose more information out of respect for the child's family. VDH confirmed that this is the first reported COVID-19 death of a child in Virginia's Northern Region.
