| With the new year comes new resolutions. One of my resolutions for 2022 is to seek out what awesome new things the D&D community has to offer.
It's no secret that D&D has exploded in popularity over the past couple of years. This increase in popularity has brought a ton of innovation to the game. From 3D printing miniatures to honestly insane amounts of software to help DMs and players play the game, we've definitely moved away from our pen and paper beginnings.
One of the most widely used pieces of software (especially in this day and age) are virtual tabletops. When my games first went online, I signed up for a Roll20 account and never really looked back. It's free, it's easy to use, my players found it easy to use. End of story. I wanted to write an article about what virtual tabletops were out there for your benefit as much as my own. I'm so glad I took an in-depth look at the options out there on the market because I truly think it will change how I run my games going forward. I hope this article offers as much enlightenment to you as it did to me!
