| Lewis – Republican-controlled state legislatures are a threat to democracy. That's why I was excited to see this from Axios: "No more than five seats separate the majority and minority parties in three statehouses hosting elections in November – Arizona, Minnesota and Michigan." Actually, it gets even more interesting: Republicans only control the statehouse majority by three seats in Michigan and by ONE seat in Arizona. The NDRC will be working in all three of these states (and 14 others) as part of our expanded electoral program.
– The Hill Lewis, I'm very hopeful that with a lot of hard work, Democrats can flip state legislative chambers currently controlled by Republicans, defend vulnerable Democratic majorities, and build long-term power in critical states. All of this will be vital to the defense of our democracy.
