| It has been five years since Donald Trump's one-time "fixer" Michael Cohen has been in the same room with the former president. On Tuesday, he sat just a few feet from his former boss as he was called to the witness stand to testify in Mr Trump's civil fraud trial in lower Manhattan.
"This is not about Donald Trump v Michael Cohen, or Michael Cohen v Donald Trump," Cohen told reporters from the steps of the courthouse as he arrived on Tuesday morning. The former president sat upright, crossed his arms and stared at Cohen when he entered the witness stand. Mr Trump's return to court marks his first appearance at the trial since he was hit with a $5,000 fine for violating the judge's gag order that prohibits any party in the case from disparaging court staff.
