The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Office of Childhood (OOC) is pleased to announce the new Child Care Data System (CCDS) is live! The system is now available for use by families participating in the Child Care Subsidy program; however, it is not open for child care providers at this time.

Parents/guardians looking for child care assistance can now go to the CCDS Parent Page to:

  • Determine if they qualify for child care assistance using the pre-screen feature (learn more about pre-screening in this Informational Flyer with QR Code)
  • Create an account and apply for child care assistance

Parents/guardians currently receiving child care subsidy can go to the CCDS Parent Page to:

  • Connect their existing information to the new system by creating an account
  • After an account is created, log in to view their information (e.g., online copy of their authorization letter, due date for eligibility redetermination)
  • Select or change their child care provider using the new system

System Information for Parents. OOC staff created a set of short video recordings and quick steps documents to assist parents in navigating the new system. Go to the OOC Child Care Data System webpage and select 'For Families' to view these training materials.

New Call Center! OOC staff established a new child care call center that opened in conjunction with the launch of the child care data system. Representatives are now available to assist parents in setting up an account and using the new system.

  • The phone number to reach the call center is 573-415-8605.
  • Representatives are available:
    • Monday through Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
    • Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to Noon

Reminder for Providers. The CCDS will open to child care providers to create an account and use the system in early January 2024. Stay tuned, we will have more information for providers coming soon.
