After being called in the hearing room to directly apologize to the families whose children died after being ensnared in some of the darker sides of the social media platforms, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, the parent company of both Facebook and Instagram, delivered an apology to the parents. This is the fourth meeting in a row that the Fed has not raised rates, delaying highly anticipated rate cuts that the central bank expects to make sometime this year.
