| | 🏛️ New York Attorney General Letitia James pushed back on Donald Trump's "extraordinary" request for a stay of his $464 million civil fraud judgment, arguing the former president's recent request was unreliable, procedurally improper and based on a flawed premise. Earlier this week, Trump's lawyers argued that the former president is unable to secure a bond for the judgment -- having been rejected by over 30 insurance companies -- due to its size and his need to post properties as collateral. ⚖️ Daniel Penny, the man who choked a homeless man to death last May on a New York City subway car, will stand trial beginning Oct. 8, a judge determined Wednesday. Penny has pleaded not guilty to the charges of second-degree manslaughter and criminally negligent homicide in connection with Jordan Neely's death. Meanwhile, an attorney for Neely's family said the family is holding out hope for justice. 👑 The London hospital where Kate, the Princess of Wales, underwent abdominal surgery and a nearly two-week stay reportedly suffered a security breach involving Kate's medical records. A member of the staff at the London Clinic, where Kate was admitted in January, is reportedly suspected of trying to access the 42-year-old's private medical records, according to the U.K.'s The Daily Mirror, the first outlet to report the alleged security breach. 🥚 After months of egg prices slowly falling, the staple Easter item is on the rise again in part due to a resurgence of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) in egg-laying flocks, commonly referred to as bird flu. ❤️ After the 1947 partition, Megan Kothari's grandpa hadn't seen his best friend for more than 70 years until she helped reunite them. | |
