Good Morning! I often get asked which day of the week is best to end an auction as well as how many days. Well, it appears that three hours on a random Friday isn’t too shabby of an answer as we saw a new high from a “flash sale” over on duPont Registry Live. When it’s the right car, and the right audience, nothing else really matters. |

The 1989 911 Speedster debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show before entering production as a one-year-only model to cap off the Carrera 3.2 generation. Inspired by the original 356 Speedster, it featured a shortened windshield, lightweight manual top, and distinctive double-hump rear tonneau cover. While most of the 2,104 examples produced were built in Turbo-Look specification with the wider 930 bodywork, Turbo suspension, and upgraded brakes, Porsche also built a small number of narrow-body cars for specific requests from European dealers (like Sonauto in France). With just 161 to 171 produced, the narrow-body Speedsters are among the rarest production 911s of the era, offering a lighter and more understated alternative to their widebody counterparts. |
This 1989 911 Narrow Body Speedster came finished in a gorgeous color combination Linen Metallic with a Blue soft top over Linen leather. Delivered new in Sweden, it remained with its original owner until being imported to the United States in 2023. Showing just 741 km (~460 miles), it’s in basically as-new condition as evidenced by hundreds of detailed photos in the gallery. Stunning example. |
Welp, it looks like our run of Narrow Bodied Speedsters went 0 for 3 as this museum piece failed to sell at a final bid of $550,000. That’s a big bid for a Carrera 3.2 Speedster, as the highest price paid ever was $379,000 for a 260-mile (wide body) example back in 2019. Evidently, not enough to get it done for the seller. |

You may have a more expensive watch in your drawer. But this will be the one on your wrist. |

Two things that always go hand in hand are Porsche and watches. Every Porschephile I know is also a watch nerd, and just like Porsches, watches can be enjoyed at all price points. |
Enter Jay Turkbas, founder of Sheffield Watches. Jay approached me two years ago when he was relaunching his new microbrand, inspired by his original Sheffield watch from the 1970s. He took that inspiration and paired it with more than 30 years in product development to bring back the classic Sheffield Dive Watch line, a name once known for honest, low-price-point quality in 1950s New York. |
Today Sheffield Watches has grown to more than 20 models and has partnered with names like Spike Feresten of Spikes Car Radio and Jay Leno, with one of my favorites, the Jay Leno’s Garage Driver’s Watch. Throughout that growth, Jay has kept the same Sheffield philosophy alive, creating watches at accessible price points that outperform expectations in build quality and performance. Give Sheffield Watches a look. I think you will be just as impressed as I am. |

With just three hours for bids, this 2015 911 GT3 not only got the job done in such a short time, it set a new twelve-month high for an online auction. Finished in Paint-to-Sample Maritime Blue over a Black leather and Alcantara interior, this GT3 showed 4,170 miles and was lightly modified with a Sharkwerks exhaust. It sold at a final bid of $169,500, $177,975 with fees, topping the previous high of $151,000 with ease, and swiftness.
The last time we saw this 1997 911 Carrera 4S Coupe 6-Speed was in December of 2025 when it failed to sell at a final bid of $215,000. Finished in Grand Prix White with matching wheels over a Cashmere Beige leather interior, this C4S showed just 13,000 miles and looked to be in amazing condition per the detailed photos in the gallery which included paint meter readings and service records. With the current high of $361,000 held by a 1,900-mile example, the record wasn’t in contention, but it still topped all others, hammering at a staggering $340,000. 📈
This 2007 911 Turbo Coupe 6-Speed on the other hand, was in contention for a new high as it showed just 3,400 miles, just 200 more than the current $226,000 twelve-month high. Finished in Carrara White over a Black Full leather interior, this Turbo looked to be in very nice condition inside and out and came with a DME report, but lacked a bit of service history other than what was on the CarFax. It previously sold back in October of 2024 for $179,000 after failing to sell the prior December for $186,000. It sold this time around for $210,000, slotting it into the number two position.

Oh Riviera Blue, how I love you. Especially on a 968 Clubsport with color-matched wheels. Showing 142,500 km (~88k miles) on the clock, this example has been repainted at some point along with having its sunroof “deleted” and shows some wear in the paint here and there. It has also been modified with a Deutsch Nine carbon-fiber rear wing, Leda adjustable coilovers with Eibach springs, M030-spec brakes, and more. This is one for the drivers who wants to rag on a rare Porsche in a special color and not have to worry about adding more miles and killing depreciation. Price? Well, it failed to sell at $40,968 back in ‘24, and I think bids will be in that ballpark again.
In a similar fashion, this 1996 911 Carrera 4S 6-Speed shows big miles at 126,000 and has been fitted with a Patrick Motorsports-built 3.8L. Finished in Grand Prix White over a Tan leather interior with Pepita inserts, the car features Classic Retrofit electric air conditioning, the previously mentioned engine build, and has been serviced in preparation for the sale. It was involved in an accident in 2014 and shows paintwork, but again, this is one to drive and not worry. From the handful of 3.8-liter 993 C4S comps I have, bids should be just over the $100k mark. But with stock cars on the uptick (see above), this one might follow.
This 2017 911 Carrera 4S Coupe comes finished in Paint-to-Sample Viper Green with High Gloss Black wheels over a Black leather interior and shows 20,045 miles on the odometer. It was well-optioned with Sport Chrono Package, Rear-Axle Steering, Front Axle Lift System, and Adaptive Sport Seats Plus and looks to be in very nice condition with plenty of maintenance since new. The current twelve-month high sits at $159,000 for a PTS Gulf Blue example with 26k miles that sold exactly one month ago. We’ll see if Green can beat out Porsche’s famous racing Blue when this one closes next week.
