Cha-Cha Bongo

6955 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Johns Creek; 770.559.3832

Though awesomely expedient, fast food typically means
putting up with less-than-fresh grub whose lacklusterness
can't be overcome with buzzwords like "Zesty", "Fiesta", or
even "Picante!". For legitimately exotic, freshly made fast
food, roll up to Cha-Cha Bongo.

Graced with chili-pepper red walls, an astoundingly high
ceiling, and a whole lot of bongos, Cha-Cha's a low-cost,
order-at-the-counter Cuban grill serving a lordly compliment
of from-scratch family recipes. Grub's quickly delivered to
your table (tips optional), and is highlighted by six fresh
Cuban breaded sandwiches served with aioli dipping sauce and
shoestring fries, including "The Little Havana"
(slow-roasted, mojo criollo-marinated pork), "The Key West"
(grilled grouper w/ onions & chimichurri), and the ground
beef/tomato/onion/olive/garlic "La Conga" -- you can resist
the dance, but when ground beef's involved you know you
can't control yourself any longa. The rest of the menu runs
from chorizo sliders, to red bean soup w/ pork sausage, to
meat platters (chicken, pork, picadillo, steak, grouper), to
a make-your-own meat/rice/bean entree called the "Bongo
Bowl" (it's got December 31st written all over it -- look
out, Chick-Fil-A).

Beverages include Cuban smoothies (mango, papaya, pina
colada), plus bottled beers, a few wines, house sangria, and
fresh mojitos -- any of which can help you overcome your own
lacklusterness with the most effective buzzword of
all...buzzed?

Opens at 11am, 7 days a week; click here to see the menu:
