SEPTAfail.com

Nothing captures the essence of a tiny, pathetic moment
quite like a photo tagged "FAIL", but what about enterprises
whose shortcomings are truly epic? Don't they deserve more
than a single, Fail-branded snapshot -- maybe a dedicated
blog even? Introducing SEPTAfail.

Regularly updated with photos and text, SEPTAfail comes
courtesy of a Brooklyn transplant driven "batsh*t crazy" by
the only civic transit system humble enough to adopt the
motto "We're Getting There". Just started, the blog's
already slammed the agency's Center City District collab
(station stops marked not with SEPTA's logo or color scheme,
but green "T" symbols lifted straight from Boston's MBTA); a
fire alarm missing crucial working parts, connected to wire
housing that abruptly stops a foot below the ceiling; a
Philly Beer Week pass depicting NYC's skyline; and an exit
sign directing commuters to a dead end of the Tasker-Morris
platform, a cruel, Sartre-inspired joke on Broad St Local
riders. Other gems: a 2-token plastic bag emblazoned with
SEPTA's new eco-friendly campaign slogan, "Go Green Go" and,
most ridiculous so far, a shot of a bus at 52nd and Market
with a mangled car door affixed to the rear bumper --
possibly part of a "Ride Us Or Else" campaign, though that
might be too effective for SEPTA to implement.

Humor aside, SEPTAfail hopes to affect positive change, and
to that end riders are encouraged to submit their own
observations and photos -- though believing a blog can
revive a system this inept might be the most epic FAIL of all.
