 | DETROIT (UPI) -- A live tour by Charlie Sheen sold out its opening date in Detroit within minutes of tickets going on sale for his appearance, officials said.
The April 2 debut of Sheen's "My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option" tour at Detroit's Fox Theatre sold out in about 18 minutes Saturday morning, the Detroit Free Press reported.
The April 3 Chicago Theatre date also sold out Saturday in just minutes, the newspaper said.

The Melvins embarked on their Pacific tour Feb. 20 and were at the airport in Christchurch, New Zealand, two days later when the 6.3-magniture earthquake hit, The Hollywood Reporter said.
On Friday, they were in Tokyo.

Gaga tweeted her fans Friday informing them about her specially designed red-and-white wristband, MTV news reported.
"I Designed a Japan Prayer Bracelet. Buy It/Donate here and ALL proceeds will go to Tsunami Relief Efforts. Go Monsters," Gaga wrote.

Hatch, now appearing on NBC's "Celebrity Apprentice" with Donald Trump, served time in prison for not paying taxes on his "Survivor" winnings. A condition of his parole is that he repay the IRS.
