More New Beer!: Lakewood Brewing Company Debuts
The new brewsmith's dropping a pair this weekend at Goodfriend: Rock Ryder, a 5.2% American rye wheat that "pours with a fluffy white head" and provides a citrus-y, peppery maltiness; and Hop Trapp, a 6.4% Belgian-influenced number with bitter and floral notes they say make it the "thinkin' man's IPA"... for the first few rounds, after which it's the IPA for the man trapped into thinking everybody's hot.

Getting Frisc-y: Cedars Woodfire Grill's New Frisco Digs

With garage doors opening to a spacious patio, this wood- & stone-lined 2nd incarnation continues the mission of flaming only the finest hormone-/antibiotic-free steak, chicken, and fish on an open grill, to be tossed into bowls like the California, folded into wraps like the bacon & cheddar-abetted Signature, or impaled in ponzu-sauced satays, which unlike Ponzi-sauced satays only stain your shirt instead of stealing it off your back.

Finally Open: Lemon Bar Frisco

While Lemon Bar's still between the closing of their West Village spot and the opening of their new Henderson home, they have finally opened their years-in-the-making Frisco branch, complete with a stage for live music, enough neon to be worthy of a flatulent William & Kate (it's a noble gas), and eats like steak frites, 'zas & sandwiches including a Havarti-stacked smoked turkey club.

The churrascaria's dropped a dectet of muddled, sugary cachaca beverages, from one with Grand Marnier, lime, and orange, to The Passion, which either has passionfruit in it, or will have you saying inflammatory things no one will be able to understand without subtitles, or both.
