How you know they're losing the gun debate

Dear Friend,

Here we go again. In what's become a time-honored tradition, the NRA Lobby has abandoned all civility in their desperate attempt to protect their radical agenda.

To drag President Obama's children into their fledgling effort? That's just pathetic.

The American people want reasonable solutions to reduce gun violence. Poll after poll shows it. People believe we need an assault weapons ban, limits on high-capacity magazines, and universal background checks. Even NRA members believe that.

Because they're losing the argument on common-sense approaches that prevent needless gun violence, the NRA Lobby is panicking—and going way over the line by targeting the President's children in a new ad.

The NRA needs to immediately remove this horrible ad from the airwaves.

If you agree, add your signature to our petition and tell the NRA to pull the ad now.

The tragedy at Newtown shook us all. It was heartbreaking. And a reasonable discussion has ensued.

The NRA should participate in the dialogue, but not like this. No one's children should be exploited in this disgusting fashion.

Help send that message.

Thank you for your important contribution to this crucial exchange of ideas over gun violence.
